The fifth series of Collectable Minifigures was first revealed at the Nuremburg Toy Fair in February, where all sixteen minifigures were put on display. It was officially released on August 22. They reportedly appeared in early August at a few locations, such as LEGOLAND Billund, Denmark on August 4, 2011
They were released at some TOYWORLD stores in New Zealand on August 13.
This series introduced twenty new parts and used twelve from previous series.
